I love children’s books, and have spent a lot of time working amongst them and reading them. Through these illustrations I have attempted to illustrate the magic of these little ones whose imaginations are captured through story telling.
This series was to illustrate metaphors for five children, but rapidly developed my love for the diversity of colour and detail in the animal faces.
The penguin illustration accentuates the individuality of this animal through a layered background and detailed lighting on its face.
Superhero riding a bike - real life superheroes! And her trusty sidekick.
I love ‘capturing the moment’ with vibrancy of colour and detail.
Some of these were commissions, others were experiments and submission, all of them were a pure joy to translate.

Growing up in the Lake District I have always been enamoured with the beauty that surrounds us.
These fells started out as sketches, that then developed into prints of these wonderful views.
All of these illustrations came off the back of the wildlife series. Whether they are commissions or well loved family favourites, all these dogs have been a pleasure to illustrate.
Our family loves bikes. We love spending time on them and we love promoting all the joy and benefits of riding, watching, cheering, and cleaning bikes!
When Tom is poorly he is sent to stay with Granny and Grandad at the seaside. But Tom feels sad and lost in a big, grown-up world. However, Grandad knows just the thing to cheer him up; a special place he visited when he was a little boy. As a ride on the tram works its magic, Tom slowly starts to see things differently. A story of bravery and perspective, for grown-ups and children alike. Tom loves his mouse and takes him on many of his outings with Grandad. How many times can you spot Tom's mouse in the book?
