I love the Lake District, having spent a while making sketches of these beautiful fells, I thought I'd have a go at doing a colour version!
This was back at Christmas, when one of the boys was poorly. He slept for ages like this and looked so sweet.
Below: We do love a good coffee shop and this one even had blankets! Here is one of my boys enjoying a biscuit.
This beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Bramble, is a very spoilt, but well loved member of the family. She has the magic touch of changing lives.
Underneath is a commission of a Bulldog puppy, he was to look playful and cheery, perfect for a toddler's bedroom.
Our kids have often had nicknames based on animals. Over the last few weeks I have begun a series using those chosen animals as the basis for my work. To see how they have developed, have a look in the work-in-progress section, here.
Using a photograph as my base this time, trying to get a handle on light, dark and shadows.
Tom and the Tram
I had the privilege of working with two wonderfully creative minds on this book. The book can be purchased here.
A logo I put together for a local parent and toddler group.
The flyer used in local advertising.
This first one is the view from North bay beach, Scarborough, my home-from-home for a long time.
The second one was a commission intended to encourage.
A birthday invite
Rich and James had a fun filled evening, sampling whiskies. This was their birthday invitation.
The original trams
Before Tom and the Tram came these little illustrations. They were used in Scarborough's heritage tram booklet.
